Eiblish (it's the Irish form of Elizabeth!) Duckworth graduated from Liverpool Art College with B.A.(hons) in sculpture in 1980. She subsequently trained as an Art Therapist and Psychotherapist, working in London. After an early retirement, she travelled extensively and rediscovered the joys of painting. For the past four years she has painted in and around Luxor, especially on the West Bank where the temples rival those of Luxor city, but only have a fraction of their visitors.

During your stay, she hopes that she can pass on her enthusiasm for painting in Egypt - whether it be the temples and tombs, the countryside or the Nile. There are technical problems in painting in the heat and extreme dryness of the atmosphere, and she will pass on hints and tips to overcome these problems in the first workshop of your holiday.

She is ably assisted by Faraq, who will drive you to your painting locations, help you while you are there, protect you from marauding children - they are fascinated by visitors painting the sights - and who is an invaluable guide to the West Bank.
